Yes, objective lines are important to have at the top of your resume.  An objective tailored to the job to which you are applying lets the prospective employer know you want that specific job with their specific company, not just any job with any company out of desperation to find employment.  It helps to separate your resume from the masses and indicates your interest in working for that company in particular.  I know if I worked in human resources and had hundreds of resumes to review for one position, an clear objective at the top would help distinguish a resume from the rest, showing extra effort and sincere interest in my company.
